The high school band is in need of some old items that you might have
laying around in your basement or garage. As you may have heard, our
halftime show this year includes the Sanford and Son theme. In the TV
show Sanford and his son owned a salvage yard. We are looking for
typical salvage/junk yard items that we can have our percussionists
play on for their feature in the middle of this song. The best items
would be metal and ceramic pieces that will create a fairly loud sound
when drummed on. We are also looking for recognizable items such as
sinks, chandeliers, metal radiators, ladders, metal chairs, etc. Some
of the items will be hung and therefore could be lighter weight and
Please keep in mind that once we have used these to play on they would
not come back in the same condition. These should be items that you
are planning to get rid of or have no use for any more.
If you think you have anything you would be willing to donate, please
feel free to send me a picture or an email with the description.
Mrs. Rosin will be available for an OPTIONAL meeting on Tue. August 26th at 7pm
McGoff Auditorium- Williamston High School
Topics to be covered:
-Buying an instrument
-Expectations for new band students
-Introduction to Band Boosters

We will be having our end-of-the-year Band Banquet on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:00 pm in the High School Commons and Auditorium. We will be celebrating the musical accomplishments of our band members during the 2013-2014 school year and honoring our graduating seniors. We plan to start the evening with a potluck dinner in the commons, followed by the presentation of awards and the end-of-the-year video in the auditorium. We look forward to having you join us!
We are asking each family to provide a dish to pass. The Band Boosters will provide table settings. New for this year is our use of Perfect Potluck where families may sign up for what they plan to bring. Please clink on the following link to access this site.

The Memorial Day Parade is fast approaching (May 26th) and it is finally getting warm! To keep the students cooled off and hydrated, we need bottled water for after the parade and volunteers to distribute the water.
We have around 230 students in both middle school and high school combined, so that's around 9-10 cases of water. Details will follow about drop off.
If you will be attending the parade, please walk down and help pass out the water bottles to our wonderful students!
Thanks. Laurie Hereza and Tracy Wennberg
